Measurement and scoring
- Measures uplink and downlink one-way latency via UDP telemetry
- Captures pixel-based video QoE — including freezing, buffering, and mean opinion score (MOS) — using the patented no-reference (NR) analysis method
- Calculates an overall gaming experience score derived from ITU-T G.1072, combining video quality metrics, latency, and loss
Platform and deployment
- Runs on iOS and Android devices via the Umetrix Mobile Agent
- Supports testing over 5G, LTE/3G, and Wi-Fi networks
- Media server hosted in public clouds or mobile edge computing (MEC) environments, supporting up to 8 concurrent streams
Device diagnostics and analytics
- Collects Real-Time Test Metrics (RTTM) — including RF signal and bearer data — from the Android OS
- Combines device diagnostic data with gaming QoE metrics for enriched analytics
- Produces an overall Gaming QoE scorecard in post-processing, merging latency, RF KPIs, and video QoE data
