ESA VXI plug 'n' play Universal Instrument Driver, Rev A.03.00
This VXI plug 'n' play driver, revision A.03.00, is for the following models: E4401B, E4402B, E4403B, E4404B, E4405B, E4407B, E4408B, and E4411B. It is designed for computers operating either Windows 95 or Windows NT1 Version 3.51 or higher. This ESA driver conforms to all portions of the VXI plug and play standard which are applicable to conventional GPIB. Two elements of the standard do not apply to the ESA since it is not a VXI instrument. First, there is no soft front panel, as the ESA can be controlled from its hardware front panel. Second, there is no knowledge base file, which is primarily a description of a VXI board.
The driver requires a VISA-compatible GPIB interface and the VISA I/O Library Version 1.1 or higher. Programming with this driver does not depend upon an I/O library specific to your brand of GPIB interface, thus your programming code becomes much more portable.
The Visual Basic and Visual C++/Borland C++ Programming Examples using this driver are built into the Windows Help file for the driver. The driver is compatible with all of the following programming environments:
