The N5422A is no longer available for purchase from Keysight. However, this product is supported if the instrument already has a Win XP COA (certificate of authenticity). If you are working in a secure environment, you will need to send a backup removable HD used for cals and repairs. If you do not have a spare removable HD to send, remove the secure HD from the cartridge and send the empty cartridge with the scope. The service center will then install a replacement HD, and complete the repair and cal.
There are three options for the Keysight N5422A external hard drive. To determine which option you have, reference the vintage tag on the oscilloscope’s rear panel (it will be on the tag marked VIN#). The vintage number describes the motherboard configuration and is three characters long. To decide which option to select, ignore the first character and match the last two to one of the options below.
