Casting (ProCAST)
Keysight CAE Casting (ProCAST) is a comprehensive casting simulation platform for sand, investment, and die-casting processes. Using finite element and finite difference methods, it models filling, solidification, cooling and ejection stages, phase transformations and microstructure evolution, enabling structural integrity assessment and analysis of outcomes including porosity shrinkage, distortion, thermal stresses, and filling quality. Engineers use ProCAST to optimize gating and riser design, reduce casting defects, and improve casting quality. ProCAST helps reduce scrap, improve yield, and ensure dimensional accuracy in castings. It is widely used in automotive, aerospace, heavy and shipbuilding industries for high-performance, defect-free component production.
Simulate and optimize casting processes ensure the manufacturing of sound quality castings.
