S93080A 頻移量測讓網路分析儀能從接收器調整之處，獨立地設定信號源頻率；而且需要使用外部裝置配置來配置外部信號源。
量測放大器、混頻器和變頻器時，這項功能非常重要。對於混頻器或變頻器等頻率轉換元件進行轉換損耗/增益量測（振幅和相位）時，頻移功能為必要功能，因為根據定義，DUT 的輸入和輸出頻率是不一樣的。
對於放大器量測，在量測放大器諧波，或是使用內部信號源作為三階交互調變（TOI）或 IP3 量測的激發時，都需要使用頻移功能。
S93029/082/083/086/087/090x/093/094A 也提供 S93080A 的功能。
