The following instructions will guide you through the upgrad process.
Create a bootable high density 1.44 diskette -- example:
c:\>format a: /s
(Please note: NT 3.x - 4.x does not support this.)
Download the self-extracting file 98BIOSUP.EXE to the bootable diskette
Run the self-extracting file with -d command line parameter
The following files and subdirectory will be created:
\a0302.dat
\amiflash.exe
\autoexec.bat
\choice.com
\hwdetect\biostest.exe
\hwdetect\hlbios.a05
\hwdetect\pgmflash.exe
\hwdetect\reboot.exe
Follow the rest of the instructions below.
The following procedure "fixes" a shortcoming in the 9.701 software upgrade for Internet Advisors having a BIOS version older than A.03.02. The downloadable file that follows contains the required BIOS A.03.02 upgrade.
Assuming that Windows-95 is already installed, proceed to Section 4 (page 27) of the 9.701 Installation Guide.
Although BIOS installation occurs in Step 7, you must start with Step 1 on page 27.
Steps 7b and 7e refer to "Installation Preparation Disk #3". Use instead the downloadable file, "Bios Upgrade A.03.02".
Follow the rest of the instruction sequence outlined in the Installation Guide for 9.701.
