E4310A (8147) Year 2000 Update
This product is now obsolete
You may own earlier versions of HP8147 / E4310A, which are not yet Year2000 compliant. OTDRs which are not compliant will be reset to 01April,1980 at millenium.
Of course, also after millenium you can manually change the date
using the user interface, but every time you recycle power the default date will be restored. Generally, mainframes E4310A with serial numbers DE35501422 and lower, manufactured before July, 1998 require an update. To make these products compliant, you do not need to return them to Keysight Technologies.
To update your E4310 (8147) use the following instructions.
In order to become compatible, pleasedownload the .zip file containg all the relevant files.
Instructions to upload it onto your machine are listed in the "readme.txt"
