Validate The Performance of C-V2X Designs

Cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) has emerged as the wireless link that can help enable higher levels of automation. C-V2X continues to take shape, in part because it is dependent on the evolution and deployment of 5G wireless technology. As part of the 3GPP Release 14 (Rel-14), C-V2X is focused on vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication.

Proper testing of Rel-14 C-V2X devices requires manufacturers to perform functional, protocol, and RF measurements. Protocol and functional testing is required for both the Uu and PC5 interfaces. Likewise, RF measurements must be made of the transmitters (power, EVM, frequency accuracy, etc.) and receivers (sensitivity, maximum input level , and adjacent-channel selectivity) used in the Uu and PC5 wireless links. These measurements must be made with an RF vector signal generator and wireless test set that track with the evolving standard.
