We have recently discovered the source of several issues within the Keysight 5DX 8.2.3 software releases. The 8.2.5 software patch has been created to correct these problems. We strongly recommend the following actions for 5DX users.

All users of releases prior to 8.2.3 must first install the 8.2.3 release. The 8.2.5 patch is a cumulative patch and also contains the fixes that were part of the 8.2.4 patch. For installation of 8.2.5, please follow the 8.2.5 installation instructions.

Software revision 8.2.5 addresses the following issues:

CR16499 - Repair station image does not match defect call. The image at the repair station does not match the defect call and graphics displayed.  This is caused by an incorrect .cX file being used by the repair station to display graphics and images. The .cX file has been replaced by a .CAD file.  The new .CAD file name is unique and based on the contents of the file.  If a change occurs to the CAD that affects the board display or view order the name is changed so that the results file and the .CAD file are always in agreement at the repair station.
CR16450 - Short learned data processing slows board inspection time. Processing of the shorts learned data increases overall inspection times of boards. The processing of the shorts learned data has been improved and the delays in inspection time have been removed.

Software revision 8.2.4 addresses the following issues:

CR15914 - NDF Cleaner Asserts an error message with writing exclusion zones. When loading a working set of NDF's with exclusion zones into Test Link, the NDF cleaner fails to load the exclusion zones and generates an error message.  The working NDF set will not be loaded until the exclusion zones file is deleted. Test Link's NDF cleaner will now load and format the exclusion zone file without generating an error message.
