N4214A POS-PHY Level 4プロトコル解析ツールは、プロトコルのデコード機能やエラー検出機能をロジック・アナライザに追加するソフトウェアです。このツールを使用すると、POS-PHY Level 4(別称、SPI-4.2)バス上のデータをハイ・レベル・プロトコルで表示して容易に解析することができます。
このツールをKeysight 16760Aロジック・アナライザ・モジュールと組み合わせて使用することにより(アイドル・バス状態のリアルタイム・フィルタリングで、アナライザのロングメモリを最大限に有効活用し)、ATM、Ethernet、パケット・オーバSONET(ポイントツーポイント・プロトコル)やTCP/IPプロトコルのようなマルチレイヤ・パケットをデコードすることもできます。また、このツールでは、DIP-4バス・パリティ・エラーや32ビット・パケットCRCエラーが存在する場合には、これらの検出も行えます。
すべてのSPI-4.2トラヒックにロジック・アナライザ内でタイムスタンプが付けらるため、RapidIO、、マイクロプロセッサ・バス、メモリ・インタフェース、ネットワーク・プロセッサなどの他のシステム・バスと時間相関のとれた測定が行えます。
