  1. Download the Firmware Update file (.KSLU) on this page and save the file to a known location.
  2. Open the SL1800A /SL1700A Software Front Panel (SFP) on your PC.
  3. Within the SL1800A / SL1700A SFP, click on "Tools" then "Network Settings and Firmware Update". The SL17xx-SL18xx Update Tool will open in a new window.
  4. Updating only permitted during emergency stop --> Press the emergency stop at the system.
  5. Connect a LAN cable to the internal system network (ethernet INT1). To avoid IP address conflicts, only connect one system at a time. (Please refer to the system circuit diagram for the corresponding connection socket on the roof.)
    *#5 only necessary for SL1700A-Series
  6. Within the SL17xx/SL18xx Update Tool, choose the system to be updated from the list of configured systems. If a system has not been configured yet, please refer to the user manual and the system acceptance protocol for the default IP address.
  7. Click on the "Firmware Update" table, then click "Browse" and locate the firmware (.KSLU) file.
  8. Click "Start update". Update confirmation message will appear.
  9. Click "Yes" to proceed with the update.
