E5061A/62A RF Network Analyzers Firmware Update
Please note that you DO NOT need to return your E5061A/62A to Keysight service center for performing the adjustment. The E5061A/62A firmware upgrade can easily be performed on your own with the information and tools available on this Web page.
Download Instructions for Firmware Update
- Click on the "E5061A/62A Firmware Revision X.XX" listed below the page. Copy the file (.exe) to a temporary directory (e.g. C:TEMP) on your computer's hard drive.
- Extract the files by selecting the temporary directory and unzip the .exe file by double-clicking on the file.
- Click the "Firmware update" listed below the page. The procedure to update the firmware will appear.
- Copy the files to five floppy disks using your computer's FDD and install the new firmware into the E5061A/E5062A in accordance with the procedure.
Note: Installing new EULA
To apply the Microsoft Windows security patch, agreement with new End Users License Agreement (EULA) is required. The procedure depends on the volume label of the HDD. If the volume label is AL300 or AL301, please download the EULA installer from this page and install it. By downloading, you agree to the terms and conditions of the software licensing agreement.
If the volume label is AL100 to AL212, the HDD should be replaced to the new one which volume label is AL 302 or later because of the less capacity for installing windows security patch. For more detail, please refer to the windows support information for E5070B/71B and E5061A/62A.
Special Note
Web-enabled control function and user recovery function are NOT provided by firmware upgrade. These functions are available when the volume label on the hard disk is AL200 or higher (for the ENA-L shipped after September 2005). If the volume label on the hard disk is AL100, it's necessary to replace a hard disk with the latest at the service center in order to make this function available.
