Keysight N2282A（1x8）光モジュールは、3499用の2スロット・スイッチング・モジュールです。N2282Aにより、柔軟性の高い1270～1670nm光信号スイッチを実現できます。光スイッチング・モジュールは、電気モジュールと組み合わせることにより、ハイブリッド・テスト・システムのトータル・スイッチング・ソリューションを実現することができます。また、モジュール式の光スイッチを使用することにより、現在のアプリケーションに適合する十分な光スイッチ・チャネルを備えたATEシステムをセット・アップしたり、アプリケーションの発展に合わせて後でチャネル数を増やしたりすることができます。
N2282AモジュールはSONET/SDHテスト、OADMテスト、光ファイバ・コンポーネント・テスト、光ファイバ・ネットワークのモニタに最適です。また、光ファイバ・ネットワークの構成やマルチソースの選択／測定にも使用できます。「CARD PAIR」コマンドにより、それぞれが異なるモジュール内にある2チャネルを同期してスイッチングすることができます。モジュールはパッシブ・モジュールで、データ・レート、データ・フォーマット、光信号の方向に関係なく、動作します。このため、シグナリング・フォーマットに対して透過なスイッチングが可能です。また、SC/APCコネクタにより、信頼性の高い接続が容易に行えます。ファームウェア3.0以降の3499A/Bメインフレームにインストールした場合、N2282AモジュールはSCPIモードでのみ動作します。
