Keysight N2280A（クワッド1x2）光モジュールを使用すると、光テスト・システムにおいて柔軟性のあるモジュール式のスイッチングを実現できます。この光スイッチを使用することにより、現在のアプリケーションに適合する十分な光スイッチング・チャネルを備えたATEシステムをセット・アップしたり、アプリケーションの発展に合わせて後でチャネル数を増やしたりすることができます。
光リレー内のコリメータ・レンズにより、スイッチの挿入損失が最小になり、スイッチングの再現性と安定度が向上します。このモジュールはSONET/SDHテスト、光ファイバ・コンポーネント・テスト、光ファイバ・ネットワークのモニタに最適です。また、光ファイバ・ネットワークの構成やマルチソースの選択/測定にも使用できます。「CARD PAIR」コマンドにより、それぞれが異なるモジュール内にある2チャネルを同期してスイッチングすることができます。モジュールはパッシブ・モジュールで、データ・レート、データ・フォーマット、光信号の方向に関係なく、動作します。このため、シグナリング・フォーマットに対して透過なスイッチングが可能です。またSC/APCコネクタにより、信頼性の高い接続が容易に行えます。
