V743コントローラは、HP-UX(UNIX)用の組込みコントローラとして特に開発されたもので、直接VXIバックプレーン・サポートによる高いI/O性能、組込みコントローラの省スペース性、HP PA-RISCの高い処理能力と高速性を、HP-UX環境で実現しています。V743は、すべてのVXIアドレッシング・モード(A16、A24、A32)、プログラマブル割り込みハンドラ、VXI拡張メモリ・デバイス用のシングル・チャネルDMA、高速データ収集用の1MBデュアル・ポート・メモリをサポートします。注: 1つのシステムで使用できる組込みコントローラは1台だけです。
V743/100は高速な100MHz 7100LC PA-RISCプロセッサを搭載し、ランタイム・アプリケーションの開発に最適です。このモデルは、他のHP 9000シリーズ700ワークステーションおよびコントローラと完全な互換性があります。ただし、HP-UXはリリース9.05以降が必要です。HP-UXでは、業界標準のネットワーク機能、ウィンドウ・システム、言語が使用できます。データベースおよび広範囲のVXI関連ソフトウェアを使って、自動テスト・アプリケーションを構築できます。
