Keysight E1489C EISA/ISA-MXIbusインタフェースは、EISAバックプレーンを装備したHP 9000シリーズ700コンピュータをMXIbusに接続するために使います。本カードはVXIモジュールではなく、コントローラのEISA/ISAバックプレーンに装着します。測定器制御用のI/OライブラリであるSICLまたはVISAと組み合わせることにより、HP 9000シリーズ700コンピュータからVXIバックプレーンと直接通信できます。このため、外部コントローラの利点と、VXIバックプレーンへの直接メモリ・マップ・アクセスによる速い速度とスループットとを両立させることができます。
