Keysight E1482B VXIbusエクステンダは、Cサイズ、1スロット、レジスタ・ベースのVXIモジュールです。MXIbusインタフェース(Keysight E1489C)を介して、外部コントローラをVXIバックプレーンに接続するために使います。外部または組込みのコントローラを使った複数メインフレームのシステムを構築するためにも使用できます。
外部ワークステーション・コントローラと組み合わせて使用する場合、メインフレームのスロット0にVXIエクステンダを装着し、HP-UXコントローラのEISA/ISA-MXIbusインタフェース(Keysight E1489C)にMXIbusコントローラ・ケーブルで接続します。複数のVXIメインフレームからなるシステムの場合、各メインフレームに1台ずつのVXIbusエクステンダ・モジュールをインストールし、MXIbusケーブルでこれらをデイジー・チェーン接続します。
