Keysight 5359Aは、非常に正確な遅延を低いジッタで用意するタイム・シンセサイザです。Td（遅延幅）とTw（パルス幅）の２つの遅延をキーボードで個別に設定できます。遅延範囲は、50 ps～160 msと広範囲です。
5359Aは、レーダー、LORAN、DMEおよびTACANなど、タイミングが命のシステムを校正するとき、オシロスコープに対して正確な遅延掃引トリガを用意し、周波数カウンタに対しては正確なタイミングの外部ゲート・トリガを用意します。正確な遅延時間が発生できますので、ディレイ・ラインなど、時間に関する性能の試験に極めて有用です。
自動校正： 簡単になされる直前の校正実行により、正確な遅延時間の発生が約束されます。校正は、温度およびエージング補正に関する5つのパラメータで、僅か3秒でなされます。
容易な操作： 時間幅、遅延、周波数、周期、ステップ・サイズなどの選択は、すべて簡単なボタン操作です。"step up"または"step down"を押し続けると、遅延や幅をステップ掃引することができます。
