VXIプラグアンドプレイ・ドライバは、Windows® 98、Windows® 2000、Windows® NT 3.51/4.0およびWindows® XP Pro動作のコンピュータ用に設計されています。ドライバには、VISA互換GP-IB/GPIBインタフェースとVISA® I/O ライブラリ バージョン1.1以降が必要です。このドライバを使用したプログラミングは、GP-IB/GPIBインタフェースのメーカに固有のI/Oライブラリに依存しないため、プログラムが移植しやすくなります。このドライバを使用したVisual Basic®とVisual C++/Borland C++® のサンプル・プログラムが、ドライバに関するWindows Helpファイルに含まれています。付属のファイルは実行可能なインストール・ファイルです。ファイルをコンピュータのハード・ディスクにダウンロードし、プログラムを実行してインストールを開始してください。ヘルプ・ファイルもインストールに含まれており、ドライバに関する質問への回答が表示されます。本ドライバは当初Hewlett-Packardの名前で開発されていました。
