  • Update from .NET Framework to .NET 9: The default runtime of OpenTAP and all KS8400 applications have been updated to .NET 9. This brings performance improvements and enables plugins to access modern .NET APIs.
  • Linux Support: PathWave Test Automation KS8400B now runs on Linux (with experimental MacOS support), which unlocks cross-platform use of the Editor, Package Manager, Results Viewer, and Timing Analyzer. With this release, KS8400B now replaces Editor X as a cross-platform user interface for OpenTAP.
  • Community License: PathWave Test Automation can now be enabled with a Community License, fully featured and at no-cost (but without support or warranty from Keysight). To use the Community License, you will need to: 
    • Activate the Community License when starting PathWave Test Automation.
    • Link your OpenTAP Community user account.
    • Have an active internet connection.
    • Opt in to telemetry. Telemetry includes basic system details, community account information, plugins used, test execution statistics, and configured DUTs/Instruments used.

  • If you need to use the 32-bit version of OpenTAP, you can now get KS8400B licenses and use the PathWave License Manager to manage your licenses. Note that this works only on the 64-bit version of Windows; for the 32-bit version of Windows, you still need to install Keysight License Manager using the Keysight Fixed License Manager package.
  • With KS8400B licenses now being supported for 32-bit applications, PathWave License Manager is now the default license manager for both 32-bit and 64-bit. The new installer comes bundled with the new PathWave License Manager version 7.5.0.
  • The Live Results Panel now has a new table view. The table view can be used to view the results in a table format.
  • The Boolean mix-in allows you to add a checkbox to your test step.
