Professor Jong-Ho Lee is a globally recognized semiconductor expert and inventor of the bulk FinFET, now widely adopted in mass-produced logic devices, as well as the Saddle FinFET concept for DRAM cell devices. He is leading the development of low-power AI semiconductor technologies for the era of technological sovereignty.
In this session, he will share insights into AI semiconductor technology roadmaps, discuss memory-based low-power semiconductors and in-sensor computing for IoT and robotics applications, and explore the future of AI semiconductor applications and space and defense semiconductors.
Director Keun-Dae Kim leads Korea’s national next-generation network (6G) R&D programs at IITP. He has more than 30 years of experience in wireless communications research, national ICT R&D strategy, and government-funded R&D program management. His expertise includes 5G and 6G mobile communications, satellite communications, Open RAN, Physical AI, AI software, quantum information technologies, and national ICT R&D policy and strategy.
This session will introduce Korea’s 6G and AI network R&D strategy and key achievements, while providing an outlook on O-RAN, AI-RAN, software-defined networks, international standardization efforts, and global collaboration.
As Head of the Corporate Research Center at Qualitas Semiconductor, Jae-Young Kim leads the development of ultra-high-speed interconnect technologies used across a wide range of applications, including Cloud and Physical AI systems.
This session will explore the evolution of high-speed interconnect technologies that support the explosive computing demands of the AI era, focusing on the UCIe interface for chiplet-based high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity and Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) for scaling computing nodes beyond the package level.
Hoon Lee leads the Intelligent Wireless Transmission Research Laboratory within ETRI’s Mobile Communication Research Division. He currently spearheads AI-RAN physical layer R&D and conducts research on mobile base station systems, intelligent wireless transmission technologies, and AI-RAN research platforms.
This presentation reviews global AI-RAN research trends emerging from the convergence of AI and communications networks and introduces the key objectives and research initiatives of Korea’s AI-RAN Global Flagship Project.
Professor Jung-Ryul Lee, Chair of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at KAIST, is a leader in research and industrial applications involving aerospace materials, structures, stealth technologies, and diagnostic AI. He also serves on the editorial boards of multiple international SCI journals and as a private-sector member of Korea’s K-UAM Steering Committee.
This session will present real-world examples of measurement robotics and diagnostic AI technologies in aerospace and defense, offering key insights into the future of design, testing, and validation for advanced aerospace systems.
