Enhancements

Added External Frame Trigger Capability to EDGE Loopback BER.
- Requires minimum hardware of Option 300 on E443xB ESG signal generators.
Added SCCPCH Channel to Downlink
- This is a W-CDMA Specification Update to 3GPP 3.5 2001-03, Option 100 (Volume 2).
- Requires minimum hardware of Option 100 on E443xB ESG signal generators.
Added Long Code Generation Mode Data Field to Reverse Link, Option 201 Real-Time cdma2000.
- Requires minimum hardware of Option 201 on E443xB ESG signal generators.

Enhancement Requirements for Option 300

EDGE BERT Measurement Enhancement On your E443xB ESG, press Utility > Instrument Info > Installed Board Info and determine, from the installed board information and the table provided, if the E443xB ESG has the boards required for a firmware B.03.86 file upgrade for EDGE BERT Measurement Enhancements. If not, order the following kit: E4400-60246.

*NOTE: The name Option BER replaces the previous name Option UN7. This occurs when an Option 300 hardware upgrade is done (above table) and FW Revision B.03.86 is loaded on the E443xB ESG. Option BER is designed specifically to be used with EDGE BERT. Option BER has the same functionality as Option UN7, plus EDGE capabilities with Option 300. Option UN7 is for Baseband BERT only.

NOTE: If your E44xxB ESG does not have the right boards installed, unselect the respective firmware component on the PSG/ESG Upgrade Assistant, Download Status window.
