This video demonstrates the phase coherence capabilities of the Keysight MXG signal generator, showcasing its ability to generate time-aligned, phase-coherent signals essential for advanced wireless testing. Using four synchronized channels, we explore applications in beamforming and spatial multiplexing MIMO. Real-time analysis with VSA software highlights key performance metrics, including error vector magnitude (EVM), IQ offset, and equalizer response. The MXG’s direct digital synthesis architecture ensures minimal signal distortion, making it an ideal metrology-grade reference for testing modern communication receivers. This demonstration underscores the importance of phase coherence in high-precision RF signal generation and testing.
