The CODE V Beam Synthesis Propagation (BSP) feature allows for a highly accurate analysis of diffraction-related behavior in optical systems, making it ideal for applications where traditional ray tracing falls short. Developed originally for NASA, BSP uses a beamlet-based wave propagation algorithm to model diffracted wavefronts with exceptional precision, even in complex systems involving gradient-index (GRIN) and birefringent materials.
