E6393B CDMA MS Test Set Firmware Upgrade

Applicable for the Keysight E6393B CDMA MS TEST SET.

If you own an E6393B you will want to install firmware upgrade to maximize performance.You can download the free firmware upgrade software and the firmware file.

Operating Environment for Download Program

Running the Download Program requires the following environment:

Communications cable: An RS-232C cross wired cable to which Keysight Technologies recommends the Keysight 34398A RS-232 Cable Kit.

PC: A PC/AT compatible machine with 32 or more Mbytes memory where a processor that performs equal to or better than the Pentium is mounted on the CPU.

Operating system: Windows 95/98 ,Windows NT4.0 or Windows 2000
(Keysight Technologies has tested only on the English version)

Just in case this program can not run on your PC, you can purchase memory cards to upgrade the firmware. Please contact nearest Keysight Technologies sales office.

Instructions for Downloading the "E6393 Download Program" and firmware file.summary steps are:

• Download from this Web site the program and firmware files onto your computer.
  
• Both of these files are self extracting .exe files. Extract by running them (double-click etc).
  
• Run the Program file which will then instruct you through the process of sending the firmware file to the E6393B."

Instructions for details:

• Create a folder on your hard drive for the "E6393 Download Program" and the firmware file.
  
• Activate the hyperlink 6393dlhd.exe to the program.
  
• When the download window appears, type in the appropriate path name of the folder you created on your hard drive, and press the save button.
  
• Activate the hyperlink RevB01xx.exe to the firmware file, then down load it to the same folder.
  
• Start the Windows Explorer. Open the folder you created and double click the file you downloaded. This will unpack the self-extracting archive into your folder.
  
• Follow the detailed instructions provided in the README.txt to set up the "Keysight E6393 Download Program".
  
• The firmware file, RevB01xx.exe is a self-extracting compressed file. Double click it then you'll get the RevB01xx.hex file.
