The 54520A/C, 54522A/C, 54540A/C, and 54542A/C oscilloscopes come with standard mask testing where you can create a mask around a golden waveform, then test other waveforms to that golden waveform mask. You can also use the oscilloscope to test waveforms to various telecom standard masks. These files are the standard telecom masks. If you are not doing telecom mask testing, you do not need these files.

  1. Copy the files to a blank 1.44 MByte floppy disk.
  2. Make sure your oscilloscope has the latest software.
  3. Put the floppy disk in the oscilloscope's disk drive.
  4. Press the blue shift key, then press the Utility key.
  5. Select telecom masks from the applications menu.
  6. In the telecom menu select Mask.
  7. Use the Entry knob to scroll through the masks until you find the mask of interest to you.
  8. Then press the Load Setup key to load the mask and setup file into the oscilloscope. You can have two different masks loaded into the oscilloscope at any one time.
Keysight recommends using the most current version, which includes the most up-to-date bug fixes and security patches available.
