HIGHLIGHTS

  • NOW able to decode 10BASE-T1S protocols.
  • Set up your scope to show Automotive Ethernet protocol decode in less than 30 seconds.
  • Get access to a rich set of integrated protocol-level triggers.
  • Save time and eliminate errors by viewing packets at the protocol level.
  • Use time-correlated views to quickly troubleshoot protocol problems back to their timing or signal integrity root cause.

This application includes a suite of configurable protocol-level trigger conditions specific to Automotive Ethernet OABR and IEEE standards. The multi-tab protocol viewer includes a correlation between the waveforms and the selected packet, enabling you to quickly move between the physical and protocol layer information using the time-correlated tracking marker.

NOTE: The 100 and 1000BASE-T1 protocol generates a full duplex connection using a differential pair of wires for data transmission. If your wire pair signal is transmitting in opposite directions at the same time, it cannot be decoded. To separate the signals, you can use the Automotive Ethernet fixture available for purchase as part of AE6000T or standalone as AE6941A.

Latency in Automotive Ethernet Switches

Automotive Ethernet systems rely on speed and timing. Knowing the latency of the overall network is critical. In this unique application of the decoding software, you can measure latency in a switch.

Automotive Ethernet 1000BASE-T1 Protocol Decode demonstration

View and correlate a packet error back to the physical bus or troubleshoot a protocol problems back to its timing or signal integrity root cause. The D9020AUTP demonstrated in this video, enables protocol decoding for 1000BASE-T1 PHYs. Take a look  at Keysight’s latest protocol decode software running an MXR series oscilloscope.
