The Optical Modulation Generator Software 81195A introduces a new approach to optical test. Combined with the M8195A AWG it speeds up your test by a factor of up to 100 with its unique real-time mode. This helps design engineers of long-haul, metro and data-center interconnect coherent optical transmission applications to maximize test efficiency and thus reduce development time and cost.

The 81195A generates dual-I/Q signals for polarization-multiplexed coherent signal transmission test with defined signal parameters and optical signal properties. In conjunction with the M8195A 4-channel AWG it generates transmission signals with up to 32 GBaud and up to 8 GSym per channel using a single M8195A module in real-time encoding mode (option RSP).

The option OSP allows the user to deterministically emulate optical signal properties and receiver stress conditions (incl. phase noise, polarization rotation, and polarization mode dispersion) on the M8195A, the M8196A, or the M8194A AWG. In combination with option RSP, the parameters of these signal properties can be changed on the fly on the M8195A, without the need to download a new waveform.

The Keysight M8091BSCB is an electrical receiver test application designed to assist and simplify the stress signal calibration. MATLAB overview

MATLAB is a well-respected software environment and programming language created by MathWorks and now available directly from Keysight as an option with most signal generators, signal analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. MATLAB extends the capabilities of Keysight signal analyzers and generators to make custom measurements, analyze and visualize data, create arbitrary waveforms, control instruments, and build test systems. It provides interactive tools and command-line functions for data analysis tasks such as signal processing, signal modulation, digital filtering, and curve fitting. The M8085A is a software plug-in for M8070A Bit Error Ratio Test system software within the M8000 series of BER test solutions. The M8085A software plug-in controls either the M8190A or the M8195A Arbitrary Waveform Generators to create C-PHY or D-PHY standard compliant test signals. In addition it provides routines for calibration of all signal parameters and for all tests specified in the applicable Conformance Test Suite. Together with the additional available DUT control interface it is possible to read the BER of the receiver under test from the M8070A software and display the BER dependency from test parameters within the M8070A user interface.
