This presentation demonstrates a schematic-driven, layout-aware workflow using VPIcomponentMaker Photonic Circuits. Adaptive connectors and automated data exchange with layout tools maintain geometric consistency during circuit simulation and parameter sweeps. A Mach–Zehnder interferometer example illustrates free spectral range optimization and statistical analysis of waveguide width variations. A dynamic WDM channel equalizer further demonstrates hierarchical design and hybrid time- and frequency-domain simulation, supporting accurate analysis of circuits containing active and passive components.
