Demonstrações
This video demonstrates how to perform IEEE 802.11BE transmitter measurements using the Keysight PathWave Vector Signal Analysis (89600 VSA) software. IEEE 802.11BE, also known as Wi-Fi 7 or extremely high throughput, is the next-generation wireless LAN built on 802.11AX. It aims for a maximum throughput of at least 30 Gbps per access point.
IEEE 802.11BE introduces new and enhanced physical layer features to handle extremely high throughput. These include 320 MHz contiguous bandwidth, 4096 QAM modulation, enhanced OFDMA, and up to 16 spatial streams, providing a maximum theoretical data rate of 46 GB per second.
Error vector magnitude (EVM) is a key metric used to evaluate a transmitter's signal quality. EVM is a key metric for transmitters' performance, but the high-order modulation formats and wide bandwidths defined in Wi-Fi 7 introduce a challenge.
The 89600 VSA software provides a comprehensive set of tools for demodulation and signal analysis, enabling you to measure and troubleshoot your IEEE 802.11BE chipset components and devices with confidence.
The 89600 VSA software demonstration starts with a multi-user PPDU frame structure with 320 MHz bandwidth. The 89600 VSA demodulates the signal automatically, showing the 4096 QAM in the QAM solution diagram. The software also provides an error summary showing EVM and other error metrics.
The IEEE specification requires spectral emissions mask (SEM) measurements in addition to modulation quality measurements. The 89600 VSA provides this measurement with a quick setup for 802.11BE, allowing you to evaluate the uplink signal quality easily.
