S96027B Mechanical Noise Tuner Control for E5081A ENA-X
The S96027B enables to control Maury Microwave’s LXI tuner or Focus Microwaves’ CCMT tuner as the impedance tuner and measure the noise figure of unmatched devices (Gamma opt. < 0.9) with the E5081A ENA-X with the low-noise receiver options and the S96029B noise figure measurement software.

The E5081A ENA-X with the low-noise receiver options (ex. 0K1/0K2/0N1/0N2) and the S96029B noise figure application enable high-accuracy noise figure measurements of amplifiers, frequency converters, and mixers, utilizing Keysight’s unique vector-source-correction technique that uses a source-impedance tuner to remove the effects of imperfect system-source match. An ECal module works fine as the source impedance tuner for matched devices with gamma-opts <0.3 but not for unmatched devices with gamma-opts <0.9.
The S96027B lets you control Maury Microwave’s LXI tuner or Focus Microwaves’ CCMT tuner as the impedance tuner and measure the noise figure and parameters of unmatched devices.
The S96027B software operation requires the ENA-X with the low-noise receiver options (ex. 0K1/0K2/0N1/0N2), the S96029B software, and Maury Microwave’s LXI tuner or other compatible tuners.
