The ac impedance measurement technique discussed in the product note entitled Making Fuel Cell ac Impedance Measurements Utilizing Keysight N3300A Series Electronic Loads is used in this EIS software developed specifically for Keysight instrumentation. Use the equipment set-up shown in the product note.

The software consists of an Excel spreadsheet running a Visual Basic program that is used to program the electronic load and function generator through a GP-IB card, make measurements using the built-in readback of the load, calculate the ac impedance from the measurements, and display the results on the computer screen. Drivers for the N3300A load, 33120A , and/or 33220A function generators are required and can also be downloaded from Keysight for free. The Analysis ToolPak (from Tools/Add-Ins) must also be loaded from within Excel for the program to function properly.
