This firmware upgrade is compatible with all 8753E network analyzers.

DOWNLOADING INSTRUCTIONS

To download the firmware upgrade, click on the hyperlink provided. When the "Save As" dialog box appears, save the 8753ee766.exe file to your computer's hard drive. This file is a Windows self-extracting file. Select start, run, and type in the path to the file, or press the browse button to navigate through the directory structure to the file. Select the OK button. This process will uncompress the file.

INSTALLATION

Transfer the firmware file to an MS-DOS formatted 3.5 inch disk. Insert the disk into the network analyzer's floppy-disk drive. If the power is off, turn on the network analyzer to upload the firmware into the instrument. If the instrument is on, then simply cycle the power to upload the firmware. Once the file has finished uploading, the instrument will display the new firmware revision number. After installation of the firmware, the network analyzer is ready for use.

Do not change the filename. The network analyzer will not recognize and load the file if the filename has been changed.
