Advanced Over-the-Air Analysis

데모

In this video, we introduce the WaveJudge over-the-air protocol analyzer, a powerful tool designed to capture, decode, and analyze wireless communication signals across multiple generations of mobile technology—including LTE, 5G, 5G Advanced, NTN, and emerging 6G systems.

The demonstration begins with a look at the WaveJudge hardware setup, featuring the WaveJudge 5900 and WaveJudge 5000 units. These devices are capable of capturing RF signals either over the air via antennas or through direct RF cabling. This flexibility allows users to monitor real-world signal environments or conduct controlled lab-based testing.

Once the RF signals are captured, the WaveJudge system performs full-stack protocol analysis, covering all layers from Layer 1 (physical) to Layer 7 (application). This comprehensive visibility enables engineers and researchers to pinpoint issues at any level of the protocol stack.

The video also showcases the WaveJudge software interface, where users can view decoded protocol signals alongside Layer 1 metrics such as constellation diagrams, RF signal levels, and Error Vector Magnitude (EVM). These insights are critical for understanding signal quality and diagnosing performance bottlenecks.

In addition to RF signal analysis, WaveJudge supports O-RAN front haul packet ingestion, making it a valuable tool for open RAN deployments and interoperability testing.

WaveJudge is widely used by:

  • UE (User Equipment) manufacturers
  • gNodeB (base station) vendors
  • Research institutes and academic labs

Its diagnostic capabilities are especially useful in scenarios where a UE fails to connect to a gNodeB, or when throughput is unexpectedly low despite good signal conditions. WaveJudge helps identify whether the root cause lies in the UE, the gNodeB, or the protocol exchange itself.
