iBypass 100G

iBypass 100G will not require any licensing modifications with this structure change. However, some of the functionality of the iBypass 100G will be modified. See version 2.1 Release Notes.

What will differ after the licensing structure change:

After August 12, online license activation is no longer available for iBypass 100G. Online license activation is defined as the ability to go directly into iBypass 100G, when the iBypass 100G has an internet connection, to register your license with an activation code.

Offline license operations (activation and warranty date update) continue to work as is for any iBypass 100G version as it currently does. Offline licensing activation is defined as requiring an activation by retrieving a license file that has to be loaded on the iBypass 100G from the Keysight licensing portal (web portal) for any upgrades or warranty activation.

If licensing is with a localhost as a licensing server, on system reboot (manual or power outage), licensing will be removed when the system recovers. The system will continue to work and pass traffic as configured. However, no modifications can be made to the configuration until licensing is restored. Licensing can be restored through offline licensing, without downtime.
