54620-Series Oscilloscope Software
Use the link under the Downloads heading to download and install the latest version of the system software (also called application software) onto your 54620-series oscilloscope.
Download and Installation Instructions
- Create a folder c:\54600 on your local pc.
- Click on the "54620-Series Application Software" link under the Downloads heading and save the file to c:\54600. This downloaded file is a self-extracting archive.
- To extract the application file in Windows ® Explorer, double-click on the downloaded file and select c:\54600 as the destination folder.
- Copy the extracted application file sys5462x.jzp to a 3.5" floppy disk. It is important that file suffix (jzp) is preserved on the floppy so that the oscilloscope can recognize the file.
- With the oscilloscope powered on, insert the floppy disk into the oscilloscope disk drive.
- Press the Utility key on the oscilloscope front panel, then press the Floppy softkey.
- Turn the oscilloscope Entry knob to display a list of files in the File softkey, then select sys5462x.jzp from the list.
- Press the Load File softkey and follow the displayed instructions to load the software.
When the file starts loading, the oscilloscope display will clear, then the Run/Stop and Single keys on the front panel will begin to alternately flash to signify the oscilloscope is being re-programmed. This process typically takes 2-3 minutes. Please note that a power loss at this time will cause the instrument to become inoperable. If you have problems, click below.
If you have problems loading application software
When the application software has completed loading, the oscilloscope will automatically re-boot and the default setup will be restored. To see if the oscilloscope requires re-calibration, press the Utility key, press the Service softkey, then press the User Cal Status softkey. To recalibrate, press the User Cal softkey.
