Highlights

SimINERTIAL emulates inertial sensor outputs — accelerometers, gyroscopes, and barometric altitude — and delivers precisely timestamped data to the device under test via a dedicated physical interface. All inertial data is tightly synchronized with the GNSS RF signal for realistic sensor fusion testing.

Simulation applications

  • Design and debug sensor fusion algorithms with post-processing analysis
  • Test loosely and tightly coupled GNSS/INS performance during signal outages
  • Validate reacquisition capability and positional accuracy after outages

Compatible hardware

  • Honeywell Nav100, HG-1700 (SDLC and AMRAAM), and HG-9900 families
  • Northrop Grumman LN200, LN260, LN250/251, and LN100G
  • AIS SilMU02 and SiNAV
  • Safran STIM300
  • NATO STANAG 4572

Inertial error modeling

  • Simulate static and dynamic biases per individual sensor
  • Apply scale factors, cross-coupling, and misalignment errors
  • Model angular random walk (ARW) for gyroscopes and velocity random walk (VRW) for accelerometers
  • Introduce temperature and vibration error profiles
