The Keysight kelvin probe set consists of two gold-plated flat tweezers with special gripping surfaces. This design assures a very precise contact to the component and very precise measurements. The ground guard connector removes ground-related errors. The gold plating helps to reduce the contact resistance between the surfaces of the test probe and the lead of the component being measured - reducing overall error!

The Keysight 85134E is a 97.2 cm (38.25 in) long¹ flexible cable with a 2.4 mm female² to PSC-3.5 mm female connector. Cable frequency range is dc to 26.5 GHz with a return loss of 16 dB or better. Insertion loss is 0.46 * sqrt (f) + 0.3, where f is frequency in GHz, for the test port connector and 2.7 dB at maximum frequency for the device connector. Phase stability of semi-rigid/flexible cables is specified with a 90 degree bend using a 4 to 3 inch radius. Stability¹ of the Keysight 85134E is less than 0.22 dB and phase is 0.16*f + 0.8, where f is frequency in GHz.

Therefore, custom test fixture can easily be constructed. The N1413A High Resistance Meter Fixture Adapter is also required to connect the N1427B to the B2985A/87A.

The N1425B is designed to operate specifically with the B2985A/87A. It can hold DUTs with large terminals being used with the N1426C. The N1426A with the N1425B is available for measurements of small DUTs such as PC boards or IC sockets. The N1426B with the N1425B enables the construction of simple custom-made test leads. The N1413A High Resistance Meter Fixture Adapter is also required to connect the N1425B to the B2985A/87A.
