This Software Patch may be installed only on MS Windows systems with 3070 05.42p software release. It can be installed on systems with 3070 Test System Software or 3070 Development Software.

The Software Patch must be installed by the administrator login (or a login with administrator privileges).

Installation Instructions

To download and install the 05.42pa Software Patch on Windows systems running the 3070 05.42p software release:

1. Click on 3070 05.42pa 0706 WN Download. Save this file to disk.

2. Close all open programs.

3. Go to the Directory in which the file was saved and double-click on Keysight3070_0542pa.exe.

4. Follow the Install Shield instructions for installation.

5. To validate that the software installed correctly, bring up a Korn Shell window.

6. In the Korn Shell window, type version and return. The software revision “Patch 3070 05.42pa 0706 WN” should display at the end of the output.

7. Delete the Keysight3070_0542pa.exe file.

Un-Installation Instructions

To Un-install the 05.42pa Software Patch on Windows systems running the 3070 05.42p software release:

1. Close all open programs.

2. Go to Control Panel and click on Add or Remove Programs

- For Windows XP

  • Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs

- For Windows 2000

  • Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs

3. Click on "Keysight Medalist 3070 In-Circuit Test System Patch 05.42pa" and follow the instructions to remove it.
