The F9860000A Channel Studio Geometric Channel Modeling (GCM) Tool provides flexible, high-fidelity stochastic channel modeling and enables the creation of virtual RF environments in which all transmitters and receivers are assigned physical locations and RF characteristics. The positions, speeds, and orientations of radios can be dynamically updated, allowing devices to move along predefined trajectories with configurable velocities and orientations. The tool supports the 3GPP spatial channel models specified in TR 38.901.
The GCM Tool offers an intuitive and efficient way to create dynamic test scenarios. With just a few mouse clicks, users can add or remove radios and define channel conditions and interactions between any combination of transmitters and receivers. The optional antenna array modeling capability enables the simulation of a wide range of real-world antenna systems, from simple dipole antennas to advanced Massive MIMO antenna arrays.
The tool supports both cabled and over-the-air (OTA) test scenarios, providing flexibility across a variety of development and validation workflows. The F9650A is Keysight’s compact antenna test range (CATR) solution offering quiet zone diameters of 30, and 40 cm in a modular format for operation from 6-110 GHz for full conformance, spurious emissions, and antenna design testing; extreme temperature condition (ETC) is an option. For larger required test volumes and devices, as well as lower frequencies, full sized anechoic chambers are also available.
