Materials Declaration
Suppliers are required to provide material composition data on hazardous substances for each part supplied to Keysight.
Keysight Technologies, Inc. requires hazardous and restricted material composition data for the purchased materials used in Keysight's electrical and electronic products, including parts procured on Keysight's behalf by third parties, such as contract manufacturers, distributors, and third-party logistics suppliers.
Materials Declaration Requirements
To meet the various requirements of our customer and product chemical content restrictions imposed by numerous country laws and regulations. Keysight established the General Specification for the Environment (GSE) to outline the general requirements for purchased parts, components, materials, and products that are supplied to Keysight so that they meet global regulatory and Keysight required restricted substance requirements.
Suppliers are required to provide material composition data on hazardous substances for each part supplied to Keysight. Keysight’s Materials Declaration Requirements sets forth our materials and substances disclosure requirements and acceptance criteria for items and materials used in the manufacturing and delivery of products to our customers.
EU RoHS Materials Declaration Request
The European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2011/65/EU, and all amendments, restricts the use of ten substances in electrical and electronic products. Keysight products are classified within the EU RoHS Directive category list as Industrial Monitoring and Control Equipment (Category 9 Industrial) which allows for applications exempted from the substance restrictions in both Annex III & IV.
If your company has received a material declaration request from Keysight, please cooperate with the request once it is received. The request will include the form to be filled out. Accurate RoHS exemptions information is important and applicable exemptions are listed in the form.
Product Compliance to Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010
Keysight is committed to complying with the Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (the “Dodd-Frank Act”). We expect suppliers to supply materials that are “DRC Conflict Free" and do not contain minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country.
Keysight requires supplier to perform due diligence into their respective supply chains to determine whether products sold to Keysight contain 3TG (contain tin, tantalum, tungsten or gold) by using Responsible Minerals Initiative Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) declarations.
