Expand Parallel Board Powering

Parallel in-circuit test systems require coordinated power distribution across multiple printed circuit boards while maintaining stable relay control and synchronized power sequencing. The test architecture must support simultaneous board activation, relay switching, and modular power supply management to increase manufacturing throughput across parallel test cores.

The measurement workflow involves routing power supply channels through dedicated power relays and General Purpose relays to distribute voltage and current paths across multiple boards. The system configuration uses relay mapping, synchronized channel control, and shared power routing to expand the standard 16-board powering capability to support up to 20 boards in a massively parallel manufacturing environment.

Parallel Board Powering Solution

Parallel board powering requires coordinated relay switching, modular power distribution, and synchronized power sequencing across multiple in-circuit test channels. The solution integrates the i7090 Massively Parallel Board Test System with N6700 modular power supplies and an internal power relay board containing 16 power relays and 24 GP-relays. The architecture enables shared power routing between multiple boards by assigning four GP-relays to each expanded power channel path. The system supports simultaneous powering of up to 20 boards while maintaining relay synchronization and controlled sequencing across all active test cores. With integrated relay mapping and PXI-based in-circuit test capability, the solution increases parallel manufacturing throughput without requiring additional full-sized test systems.
