  • Photonic IC Testing

Attend this demonstration to learn how to verify photonic integrated circuits (PIC) at the wafer / die levels. The product panel features Keysight’s measurement automation solution alongside third-party probing technologies to test the PIC modulator and photodetector designs for optoelectronic S-parameters S21, S (lambda), and IL / PDL, with a measurement algorithm seamlessly controlling wavelength, biasing, and polarization.

  • Photonic IC Simulation

Keysight electronics photonics design automation (EPDA) is an integrated environment for PIC designers in the Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) software. The ADS offers schematic, layout, and simulation in combination with modeling and characterization tools to provide an end-to-end flow for the design and test engineering life cycle. The EPDA environment includes models for photodetectors, microring resonators, modulators, and a standards compliance verification suite for 400GBASE-LR8, CEI-VSR-PAM4, and more.

  • Validate 800G Linear Optics

Learn how to test link performance using classical retimed optics, linear pluggable optics (LPO), and linear receive optics (LRO) with the Keysight AresOne platform. See how to analyze optical and electrical signal integrity using the Keysight DCA Series N1092A and N1060A sampling oscilloscopes. The Keysight N109212CA compliance application streamlines the measurement of electrical eye closure quaternary (EECQ), equalizer noise enhancement factor, and voltage modulation amplitude (VMA), currently considered by the industry as key interoperability metrics.

  • Characterize 224G Optical RX

Watch how to test 200G / lane optical receivers under stressed and unstressed conditions. Measure your stressed receiver sensitivity (SRS) under accurate and repeatable conditions using a Keysight sampling oscilloscope, the new Keysight N7718C optical reference transmitter, and other Keysight solutions. The new Keysight N4917DJCA optical receiver test automation software controls all Keysight instruments. See how to achieve repeatable and IEEE 802.3dj-compliant test conditions and accurate measurements of transmitter dispersion eye closure quaternary (TDECQ) for PAM4, extinction ratio (ER), and optical modulation amplitude (OMA).

  • Research 448 Gbps Optical

The rapid proliferation of artificial intelligence applications has placed a significant strain on data center throughput. Join us to learn how the new Keysight N7718C optical reference transmitter driven by the Keysight M8199B arbitrary waveform generator paves the way to 448 Gbps net bitrate per lane using intensity modulation / direct detection (IM-DD) technology.

  • Research 1600ZR Designs

Research and development of next-generation optics operating at 160 GBaud and beyond are ongoing. Learn how to achieve optical transmission of 1.6 Tbit/s by using the Keysight M8199B arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) connected to a high-bandwidth reference transmitter. See how to perform signal reception and demodulation using the Keysight N4391B optical modulation analyzer (OMA). The N4391B OMA is based on the UXR-B-series oscilloscope family, with up to 110 GHz upgradeable bandwidth.

  • Testing in Quantum Photonics

Researchers have developed various single-photon detectors (SPD) suitable for long-distance free-space or optical fiber quantum communication links. The ongoing research of quantum key distribution (QKD) systems aims to achieve longer distances for quantum communication, addressing challenges like photon losses and detector performance. Explore how to minimize the timing jitter of SPDs for accurate quantum communication to ensure secure and efficient long-distance links.
