The Internet of Things changes everything. Devices need to be more energy efficient, access points must support many more devices, wireless communication occurs on different cellular-IoT and wireless standards, network traffic is exponentially increasing, and the entire IoT system needs to be stress-tested and secured.
Our IoT test solutions span the network stack: from physical-layer signal integrity to application-layer load testing and security. We can help you build an Internet of Things that can scale.
Start small. Think big.
The entry period for the Keysight IoT Innovation Challenge has ended. People's choice voting is now underway. All voting must be completed by June 21, 12:00 noon PDT. Regional winners will be announced on June 26.
Keysight’s IoT Innovation Challenge is a design competition for undergraduate and graduate student innovators in eligible countries around the world (see contest rules for complete list). Competitors are challenged to innovate low-power IoT to make urban living and waterways healthier. Prizes include an all-expenses-paid trip to the final competition at the World Maker Faire in NY on Sept. 21-22, up to $50,000 USD in cash and up to $50,000 USD of select Keysight test equipment for their school.
Register to vote today to help your favorite team earn a ticket to the World Maker Faire in New York and global recognition.

How do your Things consume power under varied network conditions?
IoT devices have low duty cycles, conserving power in sleep mode most of the time. Battery drain and power efficiency are straightforward to test with the right equipment, but it's much harder to understand device power consumption in scenarios with poor or intermittent wireless connectivity.
We have industry-leading capability to perform cross-layer testing: emulate the network and the access point, emulate the channel, dial in impairments, and make high dynamic-range power measurements with a protocol-layer trigger.
Do your multi-mode Things need a simultaneous cellular and Wi-Fi connection?
User experience testing in network access devices requires performance evaluation under real-world conditions. Multi-radio devices and signal coexistence throw a wrench into an already challenging test environment. Are interference, antenna coupling, or other physical-layer problems limiting your device throughput?
Our IoT test platforms cover all of the cellular-IoT, Wi-Fi, and other IoT wireless standards — from network traffic emulation to physical signal generation. Measure the performance of your device across the protocol stack and test true end-to-end application to the bit-level behavior.
How many Things are in the network? How good is your security?
Gartner expects that 50% of IoT devices will come from companies that are less than 3 years old. Some of these devices may not be thoroughly tested and they may behave erratically. Or worse, they may be malicious agents designed to bring down your network.
How thoroughly have you tested your network reliability and traffic load-bearing capability? Can your security systems handle distributed denial of service attacks, exploits, malware, and fuzzing?
We can help you test your network infrastructure performance, validate your protocol compliance, and measure how your network handles massive traffic and coordinated cyber-attacks. Know your system capabilities and protect your network.
Mission-Critical IoT Applications
Mission-critical IoT devices and networks must work longer and harder, without fail, in harsh environments and sometimes in remote locations. The requirements are demanding. But, with billions of IoT devices around the world today and hundreds more coming online each second, the business opportunities are tremendous.
As a leader in test and measurement, we can help you understand the challenges you will face in each segment of the mission-critical IoT ecosystem — device, wireless communications, and network. Keysight's end-to-end test solutions are designed to allow you to overcome these challenges and succeed in developing robust and secure mission-critical devices and networks.
