Highlights

  • Frequency range of DC/10 MHz to 33 GHz
  • Wide dynamic range from -35 to +20 dBm
  • Fastest measurement speed for thermocouple sensor, > 900 readings per second (free run/fast buffer mode)
  • Power linearity of less than 0.8%
  • Accurate calibration and traceability to the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or the National Physical Laboratory (NPL)
  • Real-time measurement uncertainty (MU) feature and S-parameter, and gamma correction function
  • Compatible with other Keysight instruments and EPM power meters (N1913B/14B and N1913A/14A)
  • Your instrument can be controlled at no additional cost using the BenchVue Basic Power Meter/Sensor Control and Analysis App (BV0007B). This app simplifies instrument connection and control. Download the BenchVue Basic Power Meter/Sensor App (BV0007B). Note that the basic version does not include KeysightCare support and is one revision behind the licensed version. For access to the latest features and support, the licensed (paid) version of the BenchVue Power Meter/Sensor Control and Analysis App is available

Perform measurements down to the DC range

The U8480 Series is Keysight’s first power sensor with the capability to measure down to DC. This feature is especially useful for signal source/network analyzer calibration, power references, and EMC applications.

Built-in external trigger input

An external trigger enables precise triggering of small signals close to the noise floor. With the U8480 Series power sensors, you can connect an external trigger signal from a signal source or device under test directly to the USB sensor using a standard BNC-to-SMB cable.
