The Keysight Landslide O-RAN RIC Test Solution comprehensively tests the near-RT and non-RT RICs for compliance, functionality, performance, and capacity.
Highlights
RIC enables control and optimization of the O-RAN elements with the goal of optimizing overall O-RAN performance. This is achieved through applications called xApps and rApps onboarded onto the near-RT and non-RT RIC, respectively. xApps and rApps are geared toward specific use cases, which represent certain aspects of the O-RAN to be optimized. Examples include traffic steering, energy savings, QoE optimization, and more.
Test the near-RT RIC or the non-RT RIC in isolation, in wraparound testing mode. Alternatively, test in other configurations such as the near-RT and non-RT RICs combined, or as part of a complete O-RAN end-to-end configuration.
Some of the key test objectives that can be addressed include:
- Interoperability between near-RT and non-RT RICs
- Interoperability with E2 Nodes
- Capacity of the RIC in terms of number of subscribers
- Capacity of the RIC in terms of number of E2 Nodes
- Performance of the RIC (example: msgs/sec on E2 interface)
- Verification of different E2 Service Models
- Functional, interoperability, performance, and capacity testing in the context of specific use cases
- An intuitive, easy-to-use graphical interface enables quick configuration and execution of tests and analysis of test results. RIC also provides robust automation options including RESTful and Tcl APIs.
