Elecronic warfare (EW) threat scenario simulation requires synchronized modeling of emitters, platforms, RF behavior, and mission events across a controlled scenario timeline. Engineers define radar emitter behavior, pulse and scan characteristics, operating modes, and event timing, then generate the corresponding RF environment for the system under test. Real-time RF streaming or digital signal injection provides the simulated signals while scenario controls coordinate changing threat conditions.

Frame-based emitters reproduce time-sequenced radar modes using programmable pulse, scan, and operating parameters, while event-based controls schedule signals, blanking, and dynamic jamming priorities. System responses can be compared with known scenario truth data during playback, with pass/fail indicators and plan position indicator (PPI) overlays supporting analysis. Hardware-in-the-loop configurations add synchronized RF generation and oscilloscope analysis for increasingly complex validation environments.
