Receiver Blocking Test Setup

RF receiver blocking requires a wanted signal and one or more blocker signals with controlled frequency offset, output power, and modulation state. The analog signal generator supplies the blocker tone while the receiver measurement path tracks received signal strength indicator behavior, power calibration response, or signal degradation as the blocker level changes.

The test works by setting the receiver to the target channel, applying the wanted signal at a defined level, and sweeping or stepping the blocker signal across frequency and amplitude conditions. Engineers monitor receiver response against the expected threshold, using signal purity, output power accuracy, and switching speed to keep test conditions repeatable.
