Keysight PNT simulation hardware simulates GNSS and emerging PNT sources, including LEO PNT constellations and inertial navigation systems, alongside RF threats and adaptive antenna wavefronts from software-defined radio architectures. Three grades scale from entry-level single-chassis simulation on production lines through to multi-frequency, multi-GNSS testing, enabling comprehensive evaluation for navigation warfare, resilient PNT, and controlled reception pattern antenna (CRPA) systems. All three grades upgrade in the field — through software feature keys, SDR cards, inertial sensor integration, or chassis expansion — so today's investment grows with tomorrow's requirements. Select the grade that matches your testing depth. Need help deciding? Check out the resources below.

Keysight simulation systems software defines, executes, and analyzes PNT test scenarios on Keysight PNT simulator hardware. A tiered set of software offers an in-field upgrade path as testing requirements grow. Specialized add-on modules extend the platform to include 3D multipath simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, inertial sensor emulation, I/Q capture and replay, and classified military GPS testing. Start with the tool that matches your testing depth today, and add modules without replacing the core platform.

The right grade depends on DUT configuration and PNT test depth:
All three use the same underlying software-defined radio architecture, so the grades differ in capacity and capability rather than in fundamental design.
Yes — they work together as a single system. PNT emulator hardware generates the RF signals and threat environments that reach your receiver or device under test. Simulation systems software defines the test scenarios, controls signal behavior in real time, and captures truth data for analysis. Each grade of emulator hardware ships with a compatible software tool (SimTEST, SimREPLAYplus, or SimGEN), and the three tools form an upgrade path as your testing requirements grow. Specialized add-on modules extend the platform into 3D multipath simulation, hardware-in-the-loop integration, inertial sensor emulation, and other capabilities.
Yes, in both hardware and software. On the hardware side, all three grades upgrade in the field — the Essential grade adds SDR cards and constellation support through software feature keys, and the Pro grade expands to multi-chassis configurations without replacing core equipment. On the software side, SimTEST, SimREPLAYplus, and SimGEN are available as license upgrades to the next tier, and add-on modules attach to existing installations without requiring a new platform. Your investment in one grade or tier doesn't have to be replaced when requirements expand.
Real-world GNSS environments are uncontrolled and unrepeatable — you can't reproduce the exact signal conditions that caused a receiver failure, and you can't safely test against jammers, spoofers, or degraded constellations in a live sky. Lab-based PNT simulation delivers controlled, repeatable scenarios that reproduce every signal condition a system will face, including conditions you'd never encounter or couldn't legally generate in the field. This accelerates development, cuts costly range or flight testing, and enables the receiver qualification, vulnerability evaluation, and production-line testing that live signals can't support.
