Recommended replacement product: No direct replacement, consider the 34972A Data Acquisition Switch Unit (LAN and USB interfaces). This easy to use unit provides three slots for 8 different switch modules. It comes standard with a 6½ digit high accuracy digital multimeter.

Transitioning from the Signametrics products to Keysight

The Signametrics SM4022 PCI 20-channel multiplexer is a relay scanner that slides directly into any PCI slot in your computer. The SM4022 is specifically designed for making measurements with a precision multimeter. This switch unit provides the signal accuracy necessary to make 6½ or 7½ digit measurements. The SM4022 uses an isolated structure, high accuracy components and optical isolation to minimize noise and keep thermal EMFs less than 1 µV. These low thermal EMF errors make it possible to make accurate measurements of voltages in the mV range and resistances in the mΩ range. Three optional modules are available. The standard screw terminal block is the SM40, the screw terminal block with isothermal structure and block temperature sensor for use with thermocouples is the SM40T, and the loopback test module is the SM40L.
